How to start the diesel generator in cold weather
One of the differences between a diesel engine and a gasoline engine is the compression ignition type, so the cylinder is required to have a higher sealing performance. When the engine is cold-started in winter, there are few oils on the piston ring and the cylinder wall, and the sealing effect is not good. The phenomenon of repeatedly starting and not catching fire can occur. Sometimes the cylinder wears heavily and the cylinder's sealing performance is severely affected, making starting more difficult. In this regard, the injector can be removed and 30-40 ml of oil per cylinder is added to enhance the sealing performance of the cylinder and increase the pressure during compression.
Of course, the selection of diesel fuel should ensure the flow performance at low temperatures in the area ,choose anti-freeze liquid, and suitable diesel fuel according local cold temperature situation will be necessary.
Meantime, choose to equip engine preheater and water jacket are very helpful to start the engine.
